DR. LINSON:
Patrick W. Linson, M.D. is a board certified radiation oncologist. He graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He went onto Harvard Medical School in Boston where he graduated in 1997. Following medical school he was selected for a Harvard Research Fellowship at Harvard's Brigham and Women's Hospital. His research was centered on looking at risk factors associated with the development of cancer, with a specific concentration on prostate cancer prevention.
Following the fellowship he did his medical internship at the Brigham and Women's Hospital followed by residency at Harvard's Joint Center for Radiation Therapy which includes the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center , Brigham and Women's Hospital, and the Children's Hospital of Boston . In 2001 he spent a year in research at the National Cancer Institute studied cancer health disparities in minority and underserved populations. During that time he worked with many national leaders cancer research known throughout the world. During medical school and residency training Dr. Linson received multiple awards for academic, leadership, research, and community service activities.
Dr. Linson has attended and spoken at many national conferences. His research while at Harvard was in breast, prostate, brain, and gynecologic cancer. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Clinical Oncology, as well as the American Society for Therapeutic Radiation Oncology.
Dr. Linson has worked with many experts in the field for a variety of cancers including prostate breast, head and neck, lung, gastrointestinal, soft tissue sarcoma, pediatrics, bladder, lymphoma, and brain malignancies. He continues to his commitment to provide high quality radiation oncology at Oncology Therapies of Vista. He utilizes the latest techniques and equipment available to provide his patients the most state of the art treatment including prostate seed implants and intensity modulated radiation therapy.
